Palau Community College (PCC) held its annual Thanksgiving Endowment Fundraising Event on Wednesday November 25, 2015. The college was able to raise over $54,000 due to the support of the community members who purchased raffle tickets ($25,150.00), donated cash ($28,846.53), and gave pledges via telephone ($100.00). Local businesses also donated prizes for the raffle drawing in support of the PCC Endowment Fundraiser.
This year, the PCC Thanksgiving Endowment Fundraiser had a total of sixty (60) prizes and one (1) grand prize. The grand prize was a 14’x 24’ Summer House valued at $4,500 and the second prize was an economic round-trip ticket to anywhere in Micronesia or Asia courtesy of United Airlines. Other prizes included gift certificates from the Palau Coffee Berry, Melusch-Dil Skin Care & Wellness Center, Palau Royal Resort (PRR), Palasia Hotel, Palau Water, the Belau Beach Bungalows in Melekeok, Bem Ermii Burgers & Fries, and Sonia’s Beauty Salon.
PCC would like to congratulate Mr. Joe Giramur on winning the grand prize as well as recognize his generous support in this year’s fundraising efforts! Mr. Giramur, who is the owner of the R&C Bait & Tackle Shop, donated a fishing rod as a raffle drawing prize in addition to purchasing tickets in support of the PCC Thanksgiving Endowment Fundraiser. The college thanks Mr. Giramur for his continued support over the years!
