Recreation Unit provides co-curricular activities and athletics program to promote healthy life styles and foster leadership skills.
The college provides recreational and sporting activities to broaden the college experiences of students. Activities are designed to enhance students’ abilities to achieve academic, personal and social success. These activities are also conducted to foster opportunities for staff, faculty and student relationships through participation in games, recreational activity and/or social events.
Intramural basketball, volleyball, co-ed softball and table tennis tournaments are planned and organized at the beginning of each semester for all registered students. Students may also try out for selection to play for the Mesekiu Baseball team for the Palau Major League, Mesekiu Basketball team for the Palau National Basketball League or Mesekiu Volleyball (female/male) team for the Palau Volleyball Federation League. College Athletic Scholarship is available.
As the only Institution of Higher learning in Palau, Palau Community College (PCC) students do not receive athletically related student aid. However, the PCC Board of Trustees in 2001 approved a policy to provide PCC students, who are selected to participate in the community leagues such as baseball, basketball, and volleyball, a 50% tuition waver in the form of athletic scholarship. This athletic scholarship in the form of tuition waver is offered to selected students every semester for a maximum of four semesters.
