INTRODUCTION TO LAW ENFORCEMENT

This course will introduce students to roles of the various municipal, county, state, federal, and military law enforcement agencies in maintaining law and order. The roles of police in a democratic society, the training and selection of police personnel to fulfill their role, and the liability of police for inadequate performance of their duties will also be examined.
