BASIC GRAMMAR AND WRITING SKILLS

This is a basic grammar and writing course which focuses on developing the students’ ability to express themselves clearly in writing. Students will review the fundamentals of English grammar and their usage in written English. This course is also designed as basic composition course which will teach students the steps to the writing process and introduce them to the basic paragraph and essay structures. Narrative, cause and effect paragraphs and essays will be covered. A strong emphasis will be on the value of revising and editing written work for which students will be taught various methods for addressing this aspect of writing.
