INTRODUCTION TO CRIMINAL JUSTICE

This course will introduce students to the historical development, philosophy, operation, and language of the criminal justice system. It provides an overview of the agencies of the criminal justice system, their interrelationships, and the procedures used to apprehend, adjudicate, and treat criminal offenders. The roles of law inforcement officer, courtroom participants, and corrections of personnel are also examined.
