Students from the Niigata College of Art & Design in Japan visited the campus of Palau Community College (PCC) on Monday, September 29, 2014. The visit was an exchange between the students of Niigata College of Art & Design and the students of Palau Community College. Accompanying the group was Kaipo Recheungel, a Surveillance and Evaluation Specialist for the Tobacco Use Control & Prevention Program of the Ministry of Health who generously served as translator for the day.
An introductory meeting between the two groups was held at PCC Conference Room. PCC Dean of Students Sherman Daniel and Niigata College of Art & Design President Kazuhito Kato were also present at the meeting. After introducing themselves, the PCC students led the guests on a tour around the college campus.
Students from Niigata College of Art & Design have visited the campus of Palau Community College on an annual basis. The visits are meant to promote international exchanges between the college students in order to develop cultural understanding and international relationships. The Niigata College of Art & Design is distinguished school of designer and artist training in Niigata City, Japan. Included in its offered courses are programs for photography, digital design, graphic design, illustration, fine art, and jewelry design. Niigata College of Art & Design promotes the successes of its students by providing a foundation for professional development in a high-paced world.
