On Wednesday, November 26, 2014 Palau Community College (PCC) held its annual Thanksgiving Endowment Fundraiser at the Mesekiu Bai located at the center of the college campus. For the event, the college was able to raise over $50,000 through the sales of tickets, cash donations, and telephone pledges. Over eight-hundred individuals and local businesses purchased raffle tickets in support of the event.

This year’s Thanksgiving Endowment Fundraiser had a total of fifty-five prizes, most donated in kind by local businesses and individuals. The two baby grand prizes were round-trip tickets donated by United Airlines and the grand prize was a choice between a Summer House worth $3,000 or $2,000 cash courtesy of the college. The college would like to congratulate the winner of the grand prize, Celine Reklai, owner of Flamingo Restaurant. The college would also like to congratulate baby grand prize winners, Melekeok State Government and Bheng Mendoza of Ngarchelong State Government.

Palau Community College would also like to thank all the donors, pledgers, and ticket buyers for supporting the Annual PCC Thanksgiving Endowment Fundraiser. Your generous support has greatly assisted Palau’s only institution of higher learning in its efforts to secure its future stability!
