On Monday, August 27, 2018 San Diego State University (SDSU) Bachelors Cohort started a new course on Teacher Education (TE) 596 with Dr. Mandy Matas from SDSU Center for Pacific Studies. Students enrolled in the program are required to enroll and complete 18 courses before they are granted a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies in the following three departments: School of Teacher Education, Dual Language and English Learner Education, and the Administration, Rehabilitation, and Postsecondary Education from SDSU.
Courses required are Government Course, Academic Reading and Writing (RWS 280), Directed Teaching (ARP 382), Principles of Adult & Vocational Ed. (ARP 380), Field in Community Setting 1 (TE 362), Field in Community Setting 2 (TE 362), Multi-Language Education Theory & Practice: Second Language Learners in Emerging Nations (DLE 515), Second Language Education in Emerging Nations: Multiple Subjects (596), Writing in Various Settings (RWS 305W), Biliteracy Teaching Language Arts & English Language Development (DLE 532), Children’s/Adolescent Literature (TE 530), Assessment in Math (TE 511), and Disability in Society (GS 420).
