On Thursday, November 8, 2018 a delegation from United States Congress which comprise of professional staff visited Palau Community College (PCC). On hand to welcome and gave a special presentation about the college were PCC President Dr. Patrick U. Tellei, Vice President of Administration & Finance Jay Olegeriil, Vice President of CRE Thomas Taro, and Director of Library Services Pioria Asito.
Visiting delegations were Deputy Chief of Mission Jennifer Nuhez, OIA Deputy Director of Budget and Grants Management John Dunn, OIA Senior Advisor to Assistant Secretary Sarah Jorgenson, Professional staff members of House Committee on Appropriation Betsy Bina Benedict, Jaclyn Kilroy, and Kristin Richmond. They were accompanied by Ms. Joyce Isechal of U.S. Embassy-Palau. President Tellei’s presentation highlights the college background and history, accreditation, assessment process, academic programs, U.S. federally funded programs, programs with special agreement with PCC, college endowment fund trend, enrollment & graduation rates including personnel and pension plan contributions. The visit ended with a tour to Palau Tourism & Hospitality School of Excellence building at the lower campus.
