On December 19-20, 2018 Palau Community College faculty underwent a two-day training in PCC Assembly Hall. The training began with a welcoming remarks from Dean of Academic Affairs Robert Ramarui followed by Associate Dean Marianne Temaungil’s presentation on Distance Learning Manual. Information Technology Associate Professor Johvanna Yaoch gave an overview of PCC Online Course site on how to access, create and edit course while also navigate using different taps provided. On hand to share real life experience using PCC Online Course site were Associate Professor of Criminal Justice Samantha Bells and Associate Professor of Science Gamberlyn Ngirmeriil. Faculty also participated in group activities led by Instructional Media Specialist Crystal Nacionales. The focus of activities are to familiarize faculty on “steps to design a course to be offered online”. PCC Academic Affairs would like to thank all faculty who participated in this two-day Distance Education Training. Dean Ramarui reiterated that “it goes to show that faculty are dedicated to utilizing other means of instructional delivery methods to assist our students succeed”.
