On Friday, February 8, 2019 Palau Community College (PCC) and Embassy of Japan welcome back Palau Community College students participating in 2018 JENESYS outreach program. On hand to greet this year’s outreach program participants were Embassy of Japan Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. Takeshi Ogino, Researcher Ms. Ayumi Yasuda, Ms. Anna Hideo, and Dean of Students Sherman Daniel. Students were divided into groups while in Japan to experience homestay program. They also visited various cultural sites including most notable cultural religious temples. Some of the female participants shared their experience wearing traditional Japanese Kimono undergarments. Their trip to Japan was exciting and indulging as most of them shared during their final presentation at PCC Library Conference room. Participating students were Mahealani M. Adelbai, Amie O. Oilouch, Misoya K. Rudimch, McQuinnley F. Mesengei, Ngkeruker J. Wally, Shenna N. Sengebau, Michael M. Kual, Trishia Alexander, and Ngedengoll D. Akira. PCC students thanked the Embassy of Japan and Palau Community College for this immense opportunity to learn and experience the Japanese way of life, tradition and culture at its core.
